Your Child's Day

  • Use the children's interests to help learn:
    1. Math - number writing, recognition and counting, graphing, 1-1 correspondence, predictions, etc.
    2. Science - hands on activities
    3. Cooking - measuring, discussing ingredients
    4. Art - use of different mediums, open-ended activities
    5. Language - letter recognition, printing names, rhymes, stories, use of Spanish - words, numbers, fundamental conversation, finger plays, music and movement
  • Use of the 2nd Step program to promote self-control and anger management
  • Implementing the S.E.E.D.S - Early Literacy Program
  • Encourage independence and help self skills
  • Encourage large motor activities - play soccer, baseball, basketball, ride tricycles, practice on climbing equipment
  • Children learn American Sign Language
